 Q:        The daily hours of operation are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, what happens if I access the yard outside of those hours?
A:         You will trip the security alarm and the police will be dispatched.  You may also be responsible for any charges Dusky Boat Storages incurs for the false alarm fee.

 Q:        Can I perform repairs/maintenance work to my trailer/vessel while it is located in the storage yard?
A:         No.  Dusky Boat Storage is NOT a do-it-yourself facility.  Any repairs modifications made to your vessel and/or trailer while in the storage facility brings about a potential liability to the other vessels in the storage yard.

 Q:        Can I detail my vessel at the wash down area? 
A:         No.  Due to the limited space at the wash down area in comparison with the amount of customer’s potentially needing access to the wash downs we must ask that usage of the wash down be limited to no more than 15 minutes.

 Q:        My boat broke down and I am unable to pull it out of the water.  Can I leave it in the water overnight?
A:         We understand that sometimes there will be extreme circumstances where your boat may have to be left in the water.  Should this be the case please contact the administrative offices immediately to inform them of the situation.  At that time you will be advised with how to proceed.

 Q:        Can I put a canopy tent over my storage space?
A:         No. Due to the close proximity of the storage slips in the yard and power lines in the area, we do not allow any canopy fixtures in the yard.

 Q:        Will I receive a discount if I pay my storage fees several months in advance?
A:         No.  This is not a requirement and completely optional, therefore no discount will be given.

 Q:        If I terminate my storage account in the middle of the month will you pro-rate my bill for that month?     
A:         No, Dusky Boat Storage does not pro-rate storage charges.  If you leave in the middle of the month you are still required to pay for the entire month, in full.

 Q:        Why do I still have to mail in my payment if I am required to leave a credit card on file?
A:        We require all customers to leave a credit card on file in the event that you should permanently remove your boat and/or trailer from storage without settling your account balance or if you were to become delinquent in your monthly payments.  This is not a monthly authorization form.  Dusky Boat Storage offers online payments that can be utilized to avoid mailing in payments every month.

 Q:        When is my storage payment due?
A:        Storage payments for ALL customers are due on the first of the month.  There is a grace period until the 10th of the month.  Any accounts with a balance remaining after the 10th of the month will incur a $25.00 late fee as outlined in the Storage Agreement.

 Q:        Do you offer short term storage?
A:        No, Dusky Boat Storage offers long term boat and trailer storage only.  The minimum storage term we presently offer is 3 months, which must be pre-paid.  This initial pre-payment is non-refundable.  At the end of the initial 3 month term, you will be billed on a month to month basis.

 Q:        Will you store my jet ski/wave runner? 
A:        While jet skis and wave runners are considered water craft, Dusky Boat Storage will not accept them into the storage facility for liability reasons.

 Q:        Why are there different rates for boat storage versus trailer storage?
A:        Dusky assigns boat storage customers individual slips, whereas trailer storage customers are given a general area to park in.

 Q:        Do you offer security services?
A:        Dusky Boat Storage does not maintain security personnel in the storage yard.  We are a store at your own risk facility.

 Q:        How do I close my Dusky Storage account?
A:        You must complete the Account Termination Form and return it Dusky Boat Storage along with the key to the storage yard before your account will be closed. Until both of these steps are completed your account will remain active and you will continue to accrue your normal monthly storage fees plus any applicable late fees.
