We fished the bay this afternoon. Using small pilchards on light spin rods we caught and released a load of fish and laughs.
We caught 25 bluefish, 6 trout, 3 ladyfish, 20 jacks, 12 grouper, a couple small snapper, a snook and 1 of 2 tarpon.

Tuesday evening Don and Sandy joined us for an evening tarpon trip. They caught 5 tarpon to 85 pounds on 20 lb tackle. They added 2 tarpon on 8 lb tackle. For spice we added a ladyfish and a ribbonfish.

Today we finally had good fish catching conditions. East wind and north current resulted in Ron catching 4 sailfish, 2 sharks and a mahi.
Those targeting mahi did real good in 500 feet of water.

The sky was clear blue and the air was crisp ranging from 62 to 76 through the day.
In the morning we had one lady angler who loves bay fishing. We caught loads of bluefish, a bunch of jacks and a mackerel.
In the afternoon we had two fathers, one 8 year old son and one 10 year old daughter. They caught 6 mahi to 12 pounds and 2 sailfish, including one over 8 feet long.

Today was real slow, but great quality. We caught a mahi and took a sick lady to the dock. We jumped off a 75 lb tarpon and caught a 150 lb tarpon. Then we took the sick lady back to the dock again. We dropped off and went out to try for a sailfish again. We had a sailfish check out our baits, but no bite. We caught a barracuda. And for a grand finale we caught a 50 lb wahoo!!!

Not what we want. Tuesday was 70 degrees, blowing 20 and a light drizzle. Yuck. We caught a sailfish, a mahi, 4 small sharks, 2 barracuda and a bonito.

Today we caught 4 mahi, 2 small sharks, a 40 lb wahoo and a super visit from a whale shark. The 18 foot shark circled the boat 4 times. It sucked chum right out of the chum bag. It was close enough for everybody to touch it. What a treat.

Today was a tough trip. We had great people, but bad luck. We lost 2 sailfish, a nice mahi, 3 grouper and 3 big sharks.
We did catch a barracuda, a 225 lb shark, a couple small sharks and a nice mahi.
Tonight was a great trip. Good guest, a bluefish, a big ladyfish, a few jacks and 4 tarpon.

Today we fished with Mark and Dustin again. They caught 2 black grouper, a grey grouper, 2 barracuda, 12 small amberjacks and 2 sailfish.
After having some grouper blackened and some fried for dinner at Montys Sunset at Miami Beach Marina, we snuck back to fishing and caught 3 tarpon.

Tuesday we fished with Mark and his son Dustin. We loaded the bait well with pilchards and herring and headed for a local artificial reef wreck. We anchored up and put 2 flat line baits out in Penn spinners and 2 bottom rods with Penn 2 speed Internationals. It only took a couple minutes for chaos to errupt.
2 hours later we had caught 2 mahi, a cero mackerel, 2 bonito, 4 big amberjacks, a 12 lb rainbow runner, a 30 lb cobia and 35 pound african pompano.
The rest of the day we fished a couple more wrecks and did some kite fishing. During that time we caught 3 black grouper, a big barracuda and 10 more mahi.
We released several of these assorted fish and still had too many filets.
