Spanish Mackerel Action

Today we loaded up with small live pilchards from Ashley Live Bait Boat. We took these baits to the bent range marker and anchored up. In short order the rods were bending under the hot runs of the mackerel. We caught a bunch and headed offshore.
Action was slow, but we did catch a couple of sailfish for two anglers who had never caught them before.
We finished the day with a 15 pound jack crevalle at the inlet
